I looked seriously at Seung & Hayworth's ideas when they first started publishing-- upon which Spark's amazing fulfilment of that idea is based-- and which Charles Platt wrote up recently, in a most convincing and exciting manner in a Max More republished Substack article!
CPlatt's article prompted me to look up exactly where Salem is, what it looks like and where I might live close to the facility much like I moved to Phoenix within close proximity of Alcor.
I even started thinking about "whole body 'gluteronics'"... a term I coined to match and compete with 'cryonics', as can be seen earlier in this forum. Sparks appears to be 'cleaning up the image' of the neuro preservation by isolating the brain but it occured to me that a 'whole body version' of 'gluteronics' might be more appealing as CI's whole-body appeals to more than those signed up for 'neuro' at Alcor.
Anyway, without writing up an entire review here, I HAVE looked at Sparks and most recently, this past week. Thanks for the reminder. As a scholar of physical immortality, I have some very important difference with the way you express your rejection of 'all this quantum stuff'. That's highly disrespectful and out-of-touch. I'll write something up for 'people like you' (everyone in cryonics) as soon as I can that 'walks you through' each step the process of gaining confidence in 'quantumonics', which 'still' surpasses 'gluteronics' in potential for personal immortality.
More later. Thanks for visiting.
