The post itself wasn't creepy to me: I was referring to the fact that somone characterized my calling her on Dave's advice as "coming on" that made my action sound creepy.
Back in those days, it was pretty cool for male cryos to contact female cryos as a common interest potential couple. As it turned out, I found another common interest woman in music for 30 years. The idea that men "come onto" women is a pretty crude notion, IMO. How else are men supposed to let women know they're interested in them?
As a matter of fact, as I try to recollect all this from 30 years ago, it might have been the other way around where RPancake contacted ME first! I might still have the original letters we exchanged in 1991 before the internet really became a thing around 1995 or 1996. I have many boxes of stored paper docs going back 68 years now.
I was temporarily interested in another cryowoman at some point in the late 1990's as well which involved an invitation for a cup of coffee at a local coffee bar. And there's another woman who was with TransTime that I followed too at one time. Actually, my second wife Laurie who laughed at me for cryonics was a potential candidate I provided a "soft recruitment" effort toward. She wouldn't bite. She was into hippie type things which I dig, too, but ultimately it went in circles and spun out.
Anyhoo, RPancake had an interesting career in movie set design before the age of CGI and was into science fiction which I dug too. The letter-exchnage with REgina turned into letter exchanges with Laurie which ignited like a gas furnace... WOOOSH! That turned out to be hot but cooled off in 1995 at which point my recently currently decesased MUSIC wife ignited and kept going for 30 years.
