Alcor's latest website fancy but misses foundational philosophy cryonics is based on like... a rejection of dualism, an embrace of personality and mind as being embedded in preservable brain structure (monism) and no indication of the hard problem of consciousness not having been solved yet. In other words, there is no easy to find contents page that list the reasons why cryonics is variously rejected so that a newcomer can view their own checklist to see if they qualify to be a cryonicist. The Alcor page basically preaches to the cryonics choir which is undertandable since they selling a service, however I grew up in an era of the 1970's through the early 2000's where there was a lot of debate and writing directed at the philophical underpinnings of cryonics vs. no cryonics.
