Many people believe cryonics will work and that they'll be reanimated some day through sciece and technology. Can you write a creed for the cryonics faithful, tongue in cheek, but modelled on the Apostles Creed of the Catholics
Okay, here's a tongue-in-cheek "Cryonics Creed," modeled on the Apostles' Creed, for the faithful who believe in future reanimation:
**The Cryonicist's Creed**
I believe in the power of Future Science, the almighty healer,
Creator of possibilities beyond our current grasp.
And in Cryopreservation, our only hope,
Conceived by reason, born of desperate faith,
Suffered under the indignity of current medical practice,
Was frozen, went into suspended animation,
Descended into liquid nitrogen.
The third day, or the thirtieth century, I shall rise again from cryogenic storage,
I ascend to a future world,
And sit at the right hand of technologically advanced beings, the benefactors.
From thence I shall come again to judge the living and the thawed.
I believe in the Cryonics Institute (or Alcor, or other provider),
The holy cause of fighting mortality,
The communion of the perfectly preserved,
The remission of disease through nanotechnology,
The resurrection of the body,
And life everlasting.
Amen
