Mike Perry wrote "Why Cryonics might not work" in The Alcor Phoenix, Cryonet post#4949, mechanistic again. I scoured Mikes' posts to find evidence that he understood quantum reality as partly-non-deterministic with options that are controlled and got excited when I found his piece "Why cryonics might not work" but it turns out that the REASON he states for cryonics not possibly working centers on dendrite preservation.

well... ok. Here's the problem as I see it.

Mike was still working in nanoscale terms. The REAL reason cryonics might not work is because the mind isn't centered in the brain, it USES the brain. Ettinger understood this in Chpt. 4 of MIS Man Into Superman. Ettinger dismissed his own speculations in this regard as 'probably hogwash" but at least he "went there" and Mike didn't. Mike died/transitioned as a Newtonian Classical Physics Reconstructionist... however I'll watch for signs from him.

The first sign from him I had today came in the form of my frantic search for my copy of Forever for All. I knew it was around somewhere and today I launched into a multi box search in two dozen boxes taking several hours over coffee. I needed to find other things anyway and review these boxes but I found Mike. There it was.

AND ... a bonus... I found a few pages of Alcor Phoenix, the newsletter from 1995 with his aritcle "why cryonics might not work".

What were the odds of a)being posessed by a frenzied search for FFA and b) finding Mike's bonus? These finds I consider to be synchronicites... inspired by Mike to post on my forum here to be crosslinked to reddit cryonicsuncensored since cryonics still bans me, continuously forever I guess.

Mike lives in quantum realm now. I can see him and Pizer and Ettinger having a quantum beer over my discovery. Nobody on reddit cryonics or cryonics uncensored are covering mikes ideas yet. I'm first.
