I found Russell in 2023 after finding Matzke in 2022, just in time to process Dorothy's transition in 2025. Cryonics assumes the brain is a recorder but Sheldrake sees it as a transciever with the "soul" as a "field" which is similar to what Russell sees. It makes more sense to me that the universe has provided for our immortality than to have to rely on Saul Kent's companys or Bill Falloon for example, or even Dave Pizer. Before reading matzke on quantum reality in 2022, written in 2017, I was very much a believer in the brain-as-VCR theory so discovery of not having to rely on a non-zero chance of preservation in liquid nitrogen is a bit of relief. I wasn't able to keep up with the financial requirements anyway. The quantum universe is like a discovery of a new world, once I accepted it as truly a real thing. I had previously rejected it based on my inability to think of it in the way Matzke presented it.
