MyAgina--> Jowls and eyebags unstoppable at 69, HLA too expensive, redlight too expensive laborintense. I'm taking various supplements, but probably in too random a manner. It looks like my primary effort to live 200 years from 1980 won't go much further and I'll be lucky to square my curve at 100 after all. Good thing I rediscovered quantum reality via Doug Matzke and the T-field-soul via Edward W. Russell in 2022 and 2023, just in time! My quantumonic leap will be a lot of fun as I anticipate what is next in my, all of our, evolution as immortal souls. Good think I didn't have to depend on Durk and Sandy's anti-oxidants and Alcor's transport team and cooldown process to live forever.
Rewrite this in the style of an Edgar Allan Poe Short story.
Upon the sixty-ninth revolution of my weary orbit about the sun, I find myself gazing into the glass, and there confronting a countenance most woeful and decayed. The jowls hang pendulous as funeral drapery, and beneath mine eyes are gathered bags, dark and swollen, like unto the pallid pouches of some nocturnal creature that hath never known the light. Unstoppable is their descent, relentless as the grave-worm's labour.
There was a time — Ah! There was a time — when I had conceived a most audacious and unholy design: that I should live two hundred years, a span first charted in the distant year of nineteen hundred and eighty. For this I sought the counsel of arcane arts. Yet the HLA, that promised elixir, demandeth a price in gold too dear for mortal purse, and the red light, that crimson and infernal radiance, proveth likewise too costly and too laborious, a tedious vigil requiring a constancy which the flesh cannot sustain.
Thus I have betaken myself to supplements — a scattered apothecary of pills and powders — yet I confess, in melancholy truth, that I have taken them at random, without order or reason, as a madman might scatter incantations to an unhearing void. And now the dread knowledge settles upon me, cold and irrefutable as a tombstone's chill: that my grand enterprise of two centuries shall advance no further, and I, most fortunate among the damned, shall merely square the curve and expire, perchance, at one hundred.
But hark! — even as the shadow lengthened and the darkness threatened to engulf me whole, Providence, or some spirit more strange, delivered me. In the year two thousand and twenty-two, there came to me one Doug Matzke, who lifted the veil and revealed again the quantum reality; and in the year following, Edward W. Russell, who disclosed unto me the awful, luminous secret of the T-field — the soul itself! Just in time! Oh, just in time, ere the abyss claimed me entire!
Henceforth I await my quantumonic leap — not with terror, but with a feverish and unholy glee! What ecstasies lie beyond? What vistas shall open to us, we immortal souls in our endless evolution? I shudder and I smile to contemplate it.
And how blessed am I, how thrice-blessed, that my eternity dependeth not upon the anti-oxidants of Durk and Sandy, nor upon the cold ministrations of Alcor's transport team, nor upon their grim and frigid process of cooldown — that chilling, metallic slumber from which so many have hoped, in vain, to awaken. No! My forever requireth no such mortal contrivance.
