Most of cryonics debates are taken up with side-issues and never with the fundamental choice to be made between monism and dualism. Religions choose dualism, cryonics monism. Actually, atheists and secular humanists chose monism and don't care. Of the monists, a fraction sign up for cryonics but in theory, all monists should have signed up. I exptected to see many people I know in cryonics and never did.
Without delving into the details at this particular point, I would rather choose to re-establish the primary consideration which is in effect a concious universe or not. If the universe is concious, a type of pantheistic God of all, interconnected existons being the elements of conciousness, from which everything emerges, things like "time" and "space" for example, as Doug Matzke proved with his new quantum math, then we're dealing with a dualism that permits eternal individuated consiousness that survives biological deterioration and death. If not, then we're into the cryonics save-the-brain-and-revive-it realm of monism.
SoulProof is a new effort by a guy named Pitstick (?) that I have not explored yet but will in coming weeks. He's working on a soulphone that allows contact with loved ones on the other side. This is consistent with Matzke's notion of the ability to flip between one side and other, eventually. It's also consistent with ettinger's Man Into Superman where he speculates on pure conciousness at the end of Chapter 4.
No cryo will touch what these speculations deal with because they're already so invested in the idea that they are IN their head so consider being OUT of their head, as I do. The personality and memory is a quantum field, and like the MEASURABLE voltage field of the hear OUTSIDE the body, can be detected OUTSIDE the head as well. The INSTANT REPLAY of tiny details in chrological order by Penfield indicate that the connectomes are an antenna array.
I'm motivated to live forever unlike non cryo atheists and secularists. I don't know why I am and others are not other than cryos and soul-believers but I have found a SCIENTIFIC basis for what have been MERELY religious beliefs in the past. I WITNESSED Dorothy seeing the other side, looking THROUGH me and REACHING up, several times so I have this corroborated youtube evidece of others doing similar thing, about 15%, they say, do this, so I'm lucky to have witness her doing this.
The expereince called grief, in my experience, is more than an emotion. When a loved one of 30 years dies, there is a BIOPHYSICAL RIPPING OUT OF CONTINUUM on a quantum level that I have felt for a year and half, 20 months now. The experience is beyond what has been called emotion or love because it's had a PHYSICAL effect that I've had to do double time on repairing AS IF it were a PHYSICAL INJURY like in an accident. I would think of it as a tearing of space time continuum.
This ripping apart on the death of a loved one is evidence that there is more going on than current grief liturature and even thanatology books and papers describe. What I've gone through is more believable as an unknown and as yet undesribed QUANTUM level effect. The continued communications I have with Dorothy resonate with the new age collaborators who speak to their deceased love ones on the other side. The twilight zone is real. We don't die. We are souls inhabiting bodies via telepresence and at biodeath, merely remove the delimiaters, the goggles of the brainfilter... and we witness a larger reality again, as Donald Hoffman describes.
Donald Hoffman, a cognitive psychologist with a strong background in mathematics and computer science, proposes a radical theory about the nature of reality. His core idea is that **what we perceive as the physical world is not fundamental reality itself, but rather a user interface, evolved for reproductive fitness, [same as guy on coast the other night with Connie Willis I think-rick] not for accurately representing the truth.** He calls this interface "fitness beats truth."
