Things had been slow as of late. New faces would arrive then leave, and Themis was beginning to feel.. Dejected. Her pack wasn’t the largest in Starfall, she knew that. Those were Hawthorne and Tarben. The recent war had taken a lot out of her, and she’d still been trying to heal from her broken ankle. Now that it was able to be walked on again, she brought herself back to the whisper she’d heard from Mabbit at the meeting. Had he truly wanted kids with her? Themis knew that he had Ayara and Valkyrie from his previous marriage to Sako, and they were still a bit standoffish with herself. She knew she could probably do better in making herself more welcoming, more warm and inviting to them, but she didn’t know how to. They were both busy with their own things. Half the time she didn’t even have her son Demius to talk too, since he was often off with his wife Yesimire. Her birds had flown the nest. Deep down, she did want more children, especially children with Mabbit. It would tie them together forever. Her thoughts kept her awake as she laid in their den, her ears perked at any noise that sounded from just outside the entrance. She rolled over onto her side, giving a sigh as she gazed ahead at the dirt wall. She was restless. There wasn’t anyway she could lay in here any longer, just staring and waiting for her brain to work. The Queen slowly got up, shaking off the moss that clung to her sunset pelt, and made her way out of the den. She hoped she would see Mabbit right away, but she didn’t. Hopping up on the rock where they usually held meetings, Themis gave a soft sigh and took a deep breath. Her mind was spinning so fast as of late. All she knew is that she wanted Mabbit, she wanted a family, she wanted.. Something. Something to make her feel happy like she’d been when her and Mabbit had become mates. She wanted more. Watching Demius be so happy and wanting a family made her want more children. She could afford it, she was still young. She let out a gentle howl, raising her crown to the sky, calling only for Mabbit to join her. Maybe this could be a conversation they could have. The woman was right to have worries - she didn’t want another evil spawn like Phobus had been. What if.. No. She couldn’t think like that anymore. He was confined to Tarben lands, as much as she wanted him dead. Deep down, really deep down, she still loved him. Yet she didn’t see him as her son any longer. Not family, not anything. But she would always have a motherly love for him. The Queen waited patiently for her lover to arrive, hoping it would be soon. She was getting anxious. She stood from where she sat, beginning to pace back and forth. Anxiety began to course through her being, narrowing her eyes at the ground and pinning her ears back upon her cranium. ”You need to calm down..” She whispered softly to herself, still wondering when Mabbit would arrive.
