"My mother is a b i t c h. She never told us of our father," sighed Natalya. "I never knew him." She nestled into Boiko as a cold gust of wind blew into them. "Brr, it's getting cold out. Do you know where we can stay, to warm up a little before we both head home? My cold tolerance is crap, and I'm frozen." Boiko blushed at the look she gave him. Well . . . I do think there is a den, an old fox's den or something, on the other side of the brook. The water's not too shallow; you should only get your feet and lower legs wet. He stepped into the water, biting back a yelp at the shock of cold.
