It had been a long time since Eponine had laid eyes upon her sweet Marius. He'd left, gone, taken away to some pack.. she wasn't even sure if he was alive any longer. Rumor around Starfall was that there was a massive war amongst the packs.. plenty of lives lost. Had he participated? Was this once again like the war waging at home? Eponine worried for her love.. though she knew he only saw her as his friend. No matter how many times she wished, she teased.. he wouldn't see her as more. They were childhood friends, grew up with one another. He'd always protected her from her family, as they often took their scams and their anger out on her. She grew used to it though. With Marius to run too, she could find peace in herself. He was her home.. someone she could go to with any of her troubles, he saw her for her. Eponine could clearly see that. She had been basking her dark brown fluff by the river that day, taking in the beautiful sights. She'd been transformed into something, an elemental as they were called. However, hers was a bit rare, presumably. She could hear whispers in her mind, see things that everyone else couldn't. She wasn't exactly sure what she would ever tell her love if he'd asked her.. and just as she thought about it, a familiar voice called her home. "Eponine!" She hoped it wasn't some trick of the wind, she hoped it truly was her Marius. Silence fell over the clearing where she was. Just as she was about to give up, her audits perked to attention, his voice rang out once again. "Eponine!" It really was him. She stood quickly, turning her head to try and figure out where he was, when she spotted him in the distance. A smile broke out as tears welled in her eyes, taking off in his direction. "Marius!" She cried out, racing over to him. Once in front of him, the lass pressed her snout against his neck in greeting, laughing. "Oh Marius! It's been so long since I've seen you!" She whined, letting her eyes wander over her. However, as she did, she noted the change in him. He seemed more put together.. and had additional tails. He had changed. However, the girl didn't mind. Eponine only locked eyes with him, gazing admiringly at him as she took in the sight. "Where have you gone? I've missed you so." her voice was soft, and with the question, she tiled her head slightly. The lingering scent of a female was very noticable to her, and all vover him. It clung to his pelt, making her heart sink. Had he gone off and found a mate? Was her dream turly over? Forcing herself not to look distraught, she kept the smile on her lips as her banned waved excitedly.
