Gazing down at the beautiful golden flowers that dotted the moonlight field filled him with a sense of peace. The Prince knew that this was one spot that he could always trust - a place where he could come to clear his head. Now, Wisteria knew of it. But the golden man decided that it was better to share it with someone. Plus, he didn't mind sharing it with such a gorgeous ess. His Princess, though she held no real rank. He knew that they would be spending a lot of time here. The brute could feel it in his heart. The gentle giggle that came from the soft-spoken lass brought him back, and his golden suns fixed upon her as they sat upon the rock. "I am too, to think I was nervous about meeting you." she had laughed out, and he couldn't help but agree. Sure, he'd been nervouse. What if she hadn't taken a liking to him? "My father, sister and I came here after fleeing a war back at our home. Our father took us when we were just pups, he says our mother couldn't be saved, that his alpha saw her as a distraction and killed her after she had us. He said we have to just keep moving forward. So I guess this is his way of trying to make sure we're safe and happy." Listening to her story, he couldn't help but feel her pain. Her mother was gone, and they just had to keep moving forward. Story of his life too.
"I never really knew her, so it doesn't hurt much." She turned her beautiful lilac gaze upon him and he felt a rush of excitement. Like his heart was finally happy to being seen. A twinge of jealousy darkened his gaze for a moment, knowing that she would be courted by one of the Amberbjorne boys. They had better not hurt her. He made a silent vow to himself that he would do everything in his power to protect this girl. She was too sweet for this world, too kind to be used and tossed away like life inteneded. "It's beautiful.." she murmured, and Helius felt her skull rest upon his shoulder. A smile crossed his lips as he placed his cranium atop of hers, golden eyes shutting for a moment. Is this what true happiness felt like? "So what about you, my Prince. How did you, your brother and your father fall here?" She asked the question softly, and Helius let out a soft sigh.
"That's quite a story, my dear. I'm sorry about your mother.. I know what it's like. But to keep moving on? Well.. you'll find a home. And.." he trailed off, opening his eyes. "I hope it'll be here." he gave a soft murmur before clearing his throat. "Myself, my brother, and my father all came here to escape our home as well. Bad man. Kratos, my father, is actually siblings with the Amberbjorne Alphess, Themis. She had escaped also. My mother passed away in childbirth, I never knew her well. But my father talks highly of her and she would have made an excellent Queen here." he explained, pressing himself against her side. "The Amberbjorne and Dawnshire packs are closely related. With Themis and Kratos being siblings, making myself and Paeeon cousins to Phobus and Deimus." Helius lifted his head from hers and gave her a gentle lick on her forehead. "But I'm just glad you're here with me.. Phobus and Deimus are bad news. I've heard they've just returned and they're not the same as they were in our old home. Then again, Themis had given them to some handmaid to raise. But myself and my brother were raised under my father, who knows moral codes and ways to live in happiness." he chuckled, his banner sweeping around and falling behind her. He turned his gaze out to the golden flowers, sighing contently. "I come here to clear my head. Now, this can be our special place. No one else knows of it.." he murmured to her, bending his head slightly to whisper it into her ear. He then let out a soft laugh again, shaking his head. "And I vow to you, my dear.. I won't let anything hurt you. As little time as I've known you, you've managed to get me wrapped around your paw. Use that to your favor, I'll always protect you." he smiled, once again letting his head rest upon hers. He felt happy, and he hoped that the girl felt safe with him. The Warrior was one to protect, and he cared deeply about this girl already. Helius couldn't help but wonder which of the Amberbjorne boys would be trying with her. Deimus, he had morals. He wouldn't hurt an innocent. Phobus on the other hand, well.. He would be worried for her sake. But he attempted to push this out of his head for the sake of their few days together. He wanted to spend as much time as he could, talking, smiling, and laughing with this beautiful lass.
