The albino ess heaved in pain. She was newly accepted to Dawnshire and about to be a mother. She had no den yet, so she hid herself among the trees and brush.
fade in, fade out
Nadia delighted in the two children. Seraphina and Wraith! Seraphina was more a dragonish girl. She had the most beautiful ruby scales, and bright eyes like her father’s. Meanwhile, Wraith reminded Nadia of her namesake: blue eyes like her grandfather, creamy color all around. As soon as she set her eyes on them, Nadia had fallen in love with them. They may be Wendigo’s, but she had a certain love for children. And now she had two of her own.
Nadia let her daughter, Seraphina, wiggle out from beneath her colorless wing. The pup had a pair of wings of her own. “There you go. That’s it, Sera.” Her daughter was dragging herself along the earth. She looked back up at her mother, a certain light sparking in her eyes. Nadia smiled. Seraphina was a lovely sight.
She shifted to ease the weight on her leg. She was relieved to see that neither of her daughters was albino. Nadia was sick of albinos, sick of herself. Atla, Larentia, Cascade, Dwyn. Skadi. Tarben was a host of albinos. She wished to have no part in it anymore whatsoever. If she could change her pelt, she would.
She supposed it was okay to be scarred. After all, her brother and two of her sisters had died in that war, and Elden and Haladki had fallen as well. But this was just plain ridiculous.
