SO STEP INTO MY FIRE OR STEP INTO MY LIGHT
The young maiden felt terrible, holed up in a sickness unlike any she'd ever felt. Yet she could only hope to live through all of this. Rumors of others passing gave her little hope, but she was strong. After all, she faced Phobus after all he'd done to her. She couldn't let a silly sickness take her out. Could she? Her hope fueled her, taking days with grace. She was thankfully holed up with her beloved, whether by fate or dumb luck they had both gotten the sickness together. Yet she feared for her daughter Oni.
Though it was true she could only see the monster who assaulted her on her wedding night in some of her children, she still loved them. The fear she felt when they were angry made her have flashbacks. Yet she never held it against them. Not once. She tried to subdue the sickness in her daughter as best as she could, attempting to heal her with her horn as her daughter did to her. Yet the days seemed to bring worse and worse conditions for the two of them, her body felt slim and fragile. She'd never been in such a condition. As her steps weakly trailed to her daughters den, she noticed there was no movement in Oni. A hitch caught in her chest as she moved closer. "No . . . No, no, no, no, no!" She slunk to the body of her daughter, sobs filling the den. Oni was dead.
Her violent breaths and sobs rang into the air, before hacking and hacking. Vomit began to come from her jaws onto the dens floor, a violent and heaving pain racked over her with each breath. "He-" She tried to call for her lover between breaths. "Helius!" She got out swiftly before more choking insued. This time, leaving her wheezing as it caught in her throat, tightened by dehydration. She couldn't breathe, everything was fading. All she could do was sit beside her daughter, before slumping once more to the ground as everything faded to black . . .
Walk, "Talk", Think.
