The man had hurried off to Dawnshire to get his den ready for his wife. He figured she'd still be safe in Hawthorne, after all, her father was still there. Vladimir, and most likely Mabbit and Themis still. Kratos had come home with him, speaking to him the whole way. Helius gushed about his new wife, and he couldn't wait to show her the amazing night he had set up for them. He knew that she would expect the upmost from him, and he wanted to give her everything that she wanted for their wedding night. Stereotypically, this would be the night they would lie together for the first time. Of course, they've curled up with one another but never gone all the way. He wanted to save it for their wedding night. He knew Wisteria was still pure, as was he. He wanted to share in that special moment with her. Excitement was rushing through his veins as he stood outside his den, wondering if Wisteria would be walking herself home. Maybe.. maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea. He'd set up flowers in the den for her, knowing they were her favorites. The mood was set, and now all he needed was his beautiful bride.
"Father, has Wisteria come home yet?" He called over to Kratos, who was sitting outside watching. His father called back that he hadn't seen her yet, and that's when Helius got that gut wrenching feeling. She had told him she would be here soon. But it had been quite a while. Maybe he was just overthinking it.. no.. There had to be something wrong. Wisteria should have been here by now. That's when the man took off for the Hawthorne territory. The Prince raced through the brush, feeling himself get scrapes along his sides. His fire burned wildly on his back, worry surfing through his body. Was she ok? There had to be something holding her up.
When he reached the edge of the Pines leading into Hawthorne territory, he didn't hesitate to cross that border. He launched himself across, flying towards the clearing where they had just been wed. Where was Wisteria? When he skidded into the clearing, he noticed Mabbit and Vlad standing and talking. Helius hurried up to them, eyes wide. "Have either of you seen Wisteria? I had gone home to prepare our den, make it big enough for the two of us, and she hadn't come home yet. I don't know where she is!" He exclaimed to the two men, knowing that his worry was seeping into his words. Before they could answer, he nodded his head to them to follow him into the Pines. He knew she liked to clear her head in the woods sometimes. The one thing that frightened him.. He didn't see Phobus in that clearing. He hadn't seen him leave with the rest of the Amberbjorne group either. That's when that fear really struck him. That monster better not be anywhere near his wife. Raising his nose to the sky, he tried to pick out Wisteria's scent. Though the woods, he caught it in his nares. That's when he heard her voice screaming out for help. "Help! Please help me!"
Hearing the pain and tears in her voice, the man surged forward, fire burning brightly in the darkness. When he caught sight of the shadow monster still perched over his wife, his anger exploded. He hoped Mabbit and Vlad were behind him for this, because he was going to tear this man to shreds. He launched himself at the shadowed figure, pulling him to the ground and holding his scruff between his teeth, digging his fangs in deeper and deeper. His claws swiped over the mans back, leaving deep wounds that would surely take months to heal from. The initial attack on Phobus would leave him with a few broken ribs as well. He let go of the man, spitting blood out before biting down on his neck again, feeling the mans jugular pulse under his tongue. How badly he wanted to rip it out, but he held himself back and let go, kicking the man so hard he flew back a few feet on the ground. Hopefully it would be enough to keep him down for a while. That's when Helius raced to his wife's side, eyes tearing up at the sight of her. "Wisteria.." he whispered, leaning down and nosing her gently. "What did he do to you..?" He gently tried to help her up, feeling exhaustion ebbing from the poor girl. "He hurt you.. I'm going to kill him.." he muttered, glancing up to hopefully see Mabbit and Vlad rushing into the small clearing where Phobus had made Wisteria his prey.
"Mabbit. Vladimir. Phobus must be taken as prisoner. I don't care if it's under Hawthorne, Amberbjorne, or Dawnshire. I don't care where he goes. He just attacked my wife. I will not stand for this." He barked out angrily, before turning his head back over to where Phobus was still laying on the ground, slightly whimpering from what damage Helius had caused. Helius turned his full attention back on Wisteria, feeling tears leak from his suns. "My love.. I'm so sorry I wasn't here.. I.." he choked out, pressing against her. "You're safe now. He's never going to hurt you again." he whispered, attempting to comfort her in any way that he could. He allowed her to lean against him, to use his body weight as her crutch. "We're going home my love. We'll report this to Lucaya. Mabbit and Vlad can take care of this monster. My priority is you." He stated firmly, taking a few steps forward, leading her out of the clearing. He then stopped, looking at her more clearly under the light his back caused. "You're bleeding.. that son of a b i t c h. Let's go get you cleaned up and taken care of my dear.." he whispered, gently allowing his tongue to lap over her cheek.
