The oncoming winter was quickly approaching, he knew that too well. On a night he had wanted to hunt, he had learned that his new sworn King ventured onto a hunt of his own. The boarders were quiet on normal days, so his favorite food was off the market for the time being. Yet something was off.
The scent of smoke and something that wreaked of it trampled around the grounds just past the gate. That's when Wendigo could finally see just what he was. A bat winged child, cloaked in red. He wasted no time before picking up the small dragon child and carrying him off to Tarben. His hunger could wait, after all the King would surely want to see this strange sight.
As he crossed into the borders, he found his way to the Kings den. He placed the child down, and just as those little paws hit the earth his King had summoned for him. His orange eyes looked to the child. "Stay here, I'll send the King for you." He said softly before turning and heading off to find Beartooth.
When he arrived at Beartooths summoning point, he found the King had been successful in his mission. A young woman and a man accompanied him, though the woman looked fearful. So this was the relative of the Queen of Vampires he had gotten his paws on. "Wendigo, this is Drevis. You will watch her day and night, and see to it that she does not escape Tarbens borders as well as tend to her needs. She is important, so if she tries to run do not kill her, simply take a wing. But please find her a place to warm up."
He moved to whisper into the Kings audits, his eyes leaving Drevis. "I found a young child, a boy, inland. He's unlike anything I'd ever seen, I left him at your den for you." He spoke, and with that the King announced his departure and left them behind. His amber eyes looked back to Drevis, surely he scarred face of him would frighten such a woman.
His eyes examined the lass, she had brittle wings. A crest almost on her rump, a cloak of black. He cleared his throat, before speaking to her. "It appears that we're stuck together for now. Don't make this difficult for me, I have no problem taking your wings." He turned, allowing her to come to his side if she would before he spoke once more. "Let's find you somewhere warm, and maybe some food."
"You get it too, to the fullest!"
