The Godless dragon watched his lover's face as he spoke, taking in the look after they finished laying together. She was panting still, making him grin only a little before he carried out his speaking of her family matters. He watched her stop breathing for a moment, and stand before she began to pace. She mumbled some inaudible things, before finally speaking above a mumble. ”What am I going to do? Will mom want me back after what I’ve done? Would she forgive me? Do I even have the option to go back now? Do I even want to go back after being given up without hesitation? I have someone who does not want to give up on me here. I-“
His hellfire eyes widened as he moved to her side to cushion her fall. She seemed dazed, perhaps he had been a little too rough? "Princess? Princess Lahmer?!" He grew worried for her, nudging her shoulder gently. He'd wait for however long until she spoke again to speak his words to her. "Princess, I don't think they gave you up easily. Your mother had pain in her eyes as she stood over Aethelflaed when Beartooth asked for an insurance bond for Aethelflaeds safety." He said softly, his wing draping over her. Her words faintly stung, thinking of how she'd want forgiveness for mating with him. "I know I'm likely not an ideal match your parents would want for you, but I will respect any choice you make. Whether you chose to leave or stay, and whether you wish for me to remain here if you go. But I'd gladly follow you anywhere."
After uttering his words, his eyes caught the sight of darkness forming over his wings. Confusion made him furrow his brows, wondering just what was happening. As his plume lifted, he noticed the shadowy coloring took over his body as well. His auburn and creams were gone, leaving just darkness. He was becoming The Black Dread, the very stories he had told young soldiers about. His eyes shifted to Lahmer, at one point all he wanted was to rip her and her family to shreds. Now he was finding it hard to imagine his life without her. But he had committed such a heinous crime to his beloved. Realization began to hit of earlier that morning, he had killed what he could only make to believe was her sister. He felt a lump in his throat, but if he told her, would she still stay with him? He wouldn't blame her if she left.
Walk, "Talk", Think.
"Burn me for eternity."
