The dragoness was tired, tired of the constant belittling and harshness from her mother. Every time they spoke she was rude, abusive even. She didn't have hatred in her heart for her sister, but she wasn't sticking up for her either when their mother got nasty. Fear bubbled in her, but subsided over the days. Her father was with a new woman, and while he showed interest in her as his daughter, it wasn't enough. She had to leave Tarben, to find better and be better. The constant hatred around her was just too much to bare. She had nothing she could truly thank Guinevere for. Not even bringing her into this world.
As she walked the lands of her prison, she froze at the sound of her mothers voice. “Idiot men for giving me the two whelps that I have! Your sister is the worst of you. Dragon girl with no mind and no intelligence! She might as well be her father for all the use she’s been to me. You’re an idiot, but at least you take to my teachings.” Her dark blue eyes stared at her mother, unfazed by the unkind words. She stayed silent for a moment. "I do not live and breathe to be your puppet or your punching bag." She said calmly with resolution already on her mind, her eyes flicked to her sister.
“You chose to teach me and not Meyles!” she burst out. “She is not some inanimate object to speak about however you wish. Moreover, she is MY SISTER, and you ought to show SOME respect for her seeing as she is also your daughter! You hated her from our very birth because she looks like Daddy, and you didn’t sign up to become a mother; however, you could treat her better than you actually do. I’m sick of you! Meyles, I’m running, I don’t know where, but do you want to come?” A smile spread on her face, the red dragoness was already ready to leave this place. Her wings unfolded, and in one fluid motion she shot into the air. "I'm already one step ahead of you, Andreja. Let's fly."
