Icarus only yearned for Soliel as he was den-bound with his sickness, this, plague, that was infecting many across Starfall. It had only come to be after the war between Tarben and Sabertooth, and rumor had it that it started then. But how did it make it all the way over here, to Sindri? He could wonder all he wanted, but Icarus would never get an answer, at least, not in his current state. He sighed, wincing in pain at the muscles on his wings. He was the only one in Sindri to experience rotting flesh. The plague had affected his already battered wings, from his what seemed to be continuous moulting process. Icarus was losing feathers faster than he had before, but this time, none were growing back, leaving only the open wounds, at which the flesh was becoming decayed and rotted. It made him especially feel inadequate – he felt like his aerial capabilities, important to Sindri, were snatched away from him, along with his self-perceived worth in his home pack. The mottled with varied brown hues male felt a shock of pain move through him – the norm since his wings started to not heal properly. The nerve damage was the worst he had ever felt – it was even more brutal because of this plague not only affecting his immune system, but also his entire nervous system. The combination of the two made those shocks of pain shoot throughout his body, bringing him very close to the feeling of a seizure. Icarus knew that if one were to actually occur, he would be saying goodbye to the world, but given that he had never experienced one prior, every time he felt this whole-body shock, his heart race increased in fear that he was going to die. His body shivered from the chills that also coursed through him. Icarus tried to breathe deeply through these fits, but he noticed their frequency was only increasing. As each hit, his heart beat faster and faster, despite his best attempts to calm himself. Icarus felt relief when these shocks ceased for more than a few minutes, but blacked out as another suddenly came on, much harsher than the rest. His whole body convulsed, his brain blocked to the happenings of his body – the aves male’s heart and breathing came to sudden stops, the life leaving his body once the seizure stopped, the only trace of life once being in his corpse being that a mixture of saliva and foam dribbled from his maw.
