After the Sabertooth meeting, Venus went to an abandoned den near her own, where she had been keeping Keira since her passing. Eryx had followed her, as per Aeolus’s command for her travel. Venus dipped in and slid Keira’s body over her shoulders, remembering just how heavy she was as she walked out of the den. Venus noticed Eryx’s concern behind his artic blue eyes, to which her ocean blue eyes looked away and towards the border. Venus began to walk, and Eryx, much to his dismay, walked alongside his adoptive sister without carrying the dire lamprydae lass’s corpse. About halfway to Nightingale, Venus gave in from the weight and efforts, to which Eryx grabbed Keira’s body and carried it via flight the rest of the way.

Upon arriving at the border, Eryx gently placed Keira’s body on the ground, then landing his own satori body on the ground next to Venus, who had already sat down. Before Eryx could howl, Venus let out a howl asking for Amalthea to greet them at the border. Venus was nervous, given that she had no prior experience before the plague with theta duties, and she would have to explain the compromise that Keira and her had made. Would it be taken so easily? What if Nightingale had already chosen another theta? She sighed softly, waiting for the familiar lass to greet them.
