The Elemental of mist had been wandering the island. She was trying to get a feel for her surroundings. She had been here a while, and now knew almost all of the island’s secrets.
She stood at the surf, pondering her place. She existed here, for a reason. But exactly what reason? She had no idea, and it bugged her.
Marella’s eyes searched the ocean. She longed to be out there again. The pack had been absent lately, and she was getting lonely. Aegir was never around that she saw. Émilie and Raven were not ones she saw often. All in all, the young sailor was lonely. She turned away with a sigh.
“Never thought I’d be lonely. Now I am,” she muttered to herself. Everything was quiet. Nobody and nothing responded. Marella turned back and waded into the water, wishing for anyone to rescue her from this monotony. Anything would be nice. Many things were possible. And yet, the lone sailor of the sea could see no life besides plants for all she could view.
“I’ll pull you in like the waves of the sea . . .”
