The Elemental man had swum across all the way to Ranjord. He was sick of Starfall, tired of life, and he just wanted to get off the mainland. He wanted rid of his mother’s legacy, that had cost him a soulmate and his pack.
Amaya should have been his. But now that upstart Crowe was claiming it and he just wanted out of the tiresome life that he had led. No Irina, no Marigold. No Jupiter or stupid half-siblings or ghosts of siblings or Danes or, even love. He just wanted a place where he could disappear and be forever alone and anonymous.
So he swam to Ranjord. The pack was secluded and removed. Here, he could be anyone. He howled to the alpha, whoever he might be. Some man named Aegir. What his name was he didn’t really care.
