The Demoness was finally able to leave her home, as a teen it was something she was excited for. She wasn't like her sister, poor Ember was enveloped in anger and hostility to mask her fear of men. Mother was as well, the only men that were trusted were those inside Dawnshires walls. Yet Oni wondered why. She didn't want to fall victim to whatever trauma was being put onto them. She only knew to respect her mothers wishes - But, the time had come. With Summer coming to a close, Oni had awoken in her den with a glowing strand connected to her chest.
Concern fell on her face, she knew what this meant. She had a soulmate out there somewhere, connected on the other end of this string. She felt a shred of fear in her heart as she hoped it was not one of the men Mother spoke of, the frightening ones who take women as they please. Tarben was it? She had been told of the whispers of war that took place, and knew that it was somehow connected to her mother mainly. But she didn't know what or why took place, it was always hidden from her. She was growing more and more upset, starting to freak herself out before her mind settled on the up side. Someone new was on the other side of this line, someone of importance enough to be tied to her. If it was someone who she could be fearful of, her Aunt and Uncle taught her to fight. She could break the tie as well. But she wanted to try.
She gathered her courage, and herself before leaving the den without a word to anyone. Her bright red eyes were watching all of her surroundings as she made her way South, coming to a bunch of flowers in a field. As the girl stood in the field, the sun finally lighting up the sky and field, she noticed the field was dying. She gave a soft sigh, walking to the creek that fed the flowers. The water was beautiful, but the flowers would not last long with the cold months coming. She at least wanted to see them in full bloom with her first time here. Her horn dipped down into the water, and a bright light came from it. The flowers and grass perked up, showing in bright colors on the petals. Her head picked up gently, as she looked around. A satisfied smile sat on her face as she sat down, her plume curling around her paws. Her crimson eyes stared out to the marshlands past the land she stood on. So he was of Sindri.
