I agree it sucks if you have been in a spot with no training partners or lazy coaches that don't do anything. That is not the case with anyone of the athletes in question. All have had partners and coaching their entire lives and have made a point to get it.
Wrestling is somewhat individual sport, especially to the selfish me me me society we have created and live in. My favorite part of wrestling is actually dual meet tournaments where sometimes kids go up or down weights to SACRIFICE for their team. And sometimes just being tough and giving up a decision rather than a fall can make an average kid the hero for a night.
To say I am butt hurt and jealous.....ok, hahah. but then you say I probably don't do anything for the sport of wrestling. That is even funnier.
Look if everyone wants to go wrestle there, great. But if the rules, put in place by the OSAA are not being followed then IT'S NOT CV. They should not be eligible for team recognition.
Prove me wrong. Everyone who "moved" there, invite me down to your house. Clear the controversy.
I have already said it I think their coaches, athletes and program are top notch and I would always want whats best for my kids or any other kids I coach. However there are rules and they are put in place so people can't just build super teams.
Maybe I am 100% wrong and if so I will publicly acknowledge that. I just have a feeling not ever T is crossed and a couple dots on the i's missing. I have been wrong before.
