The liquor store and dispensery argument shoes a bit of stupidity though. Minors breathing and definitly exposing each other if somebody is in fact infected is a whole different story that 21 yo consenting adults maintaining social distance with masks in a store that has limited capacity.
Also noting that other states that are open but have higher infection rates does your argument no good either. Why do you think the infection rate may be higher???? Duh!
You have to remember the sport if wrestling in oregon does not revolve around your 13 yo kid from central oregon. It involves a whole structured system of organizations and adults who must work together to pull if off.
Since your all in the first thing i suggest is getting your officials liscense. Have you noticed lots if our officials are super old. I know from firsthand conversations with several that they arent at the same risk taking level as you are willing to put your kid in.
As a 60+ year old official explained to me that he is at the highest risk if anyone in the wrestling community because his exposure is to everyone that steps on his mat while your little guy (lets call him tanner, dakota or gunner for centeal oregon purposes) really is only seriously exposed to whoever they wrestled and warmed up with.
Then consider guys like jeff drumm or that old guy that runs oregon classic.....are they as amped up as you to return?
I agree with you....let those that want to wrestle but lets not be stupid with our arguments.
