Like I’ve mentioned multiple times before this is not just about wrestling, whatever it is that kids do whether it be sports, drama, music, or youth group at Church the kids are suffering because of lockdowns that are not based on science. The articles you’re reading about lower suicide rates are most likely written by people who want to discount the fact that their policies are detrimental to mental health. You can read all sorts of different studies online on both sides of the issue, I believe the ones I’ve read because I can see with my own eyes the impact this has had and personally know three Oregon teens that took their own lives within the last 9 months. That is three more than any of the previous five years. Now obviously that could be coincidental but I know from all the kids that I deal with that they are not in a good place and want to be back in school and doing their extracurricular activities also. It seems to me that all the people in favor of all the shutdowns would be willing to allow this to go on forever no matter the cost to the economy or to the well being of the citizens. Clearly neither of us will convince the other of anything, I won’t waste my time on this anymore.
