That is absolute fact. Just do the research for Oregon kids that have left for college the last 5 years. How many are still wrestling period? How many have actually made the line up? I think If you’ were to do the research it’s not an overwhelming number, especially at the d-1 level. Away from mom and dad, not a big fish in a small pond anymore, everyone is good in the room, grades, injuries, burn out. Wrestling is a job in college and if you don’t truly love what you’re doing you will not make it. No shame in that, the numbers will tell you most don’t.
