Not a fair statement that HS Coaches could hold practice if they wanted. They absolutely can’t conduct practice under the current restrictions. If they could they would. They want nothing more than to be doing what they love, teaching wrestling, competing and making a difference in the lives of our youth. Maybe have seen some at out of state tournaments, but you can bet your ass they took some big risks. Each their own on that. Some probably closer to retirement, some may have had enough and just went for it. We can’t fault any HS Coach for not breaking the rules and putting their carrier in jeopardy. I am thankful we are blessed to have club wrestling and those coaches making it happen but we sure hope our kids can enjoy a regular season and their HS Coaches also deserve that.
