Schools do a better job of implementing COVID measures than any other entity in the community. There is not even an argument about that. Schools are pretty strict about the measures in the building.

Health districts track the numbers and locations to determine spread and have on multiple occasions declared that spread is not coming from schools.

All kids are contact traced and required to quarantine. A large majority of cases where kids have to quarantine are because of parents/adults and community spread, not school.

The largest school district in Idaho determines closures by school not by the entire district. One school had to go completely online the week before Thanksgiving Break due to numbers. No other schools have went completely online that I am aware of.

Sports teams are required to follow pretty strict guidelines of temp checks, masks, etc. There have been very few cases where a team had to quarantine - very few. There were no fans allowed at first, then it went to 2 per player now its up to 4 per player.

How do I know all of this? I am directly involved daily and my kids play high school sports. I am very much in the know every day. Take it for what it's worth. You can't prove phantom spread.
