I often wonder if time would slow down so much at the event horizon, that the black hole would seem to evaporate before anyone could enter it. This makes a black hole a time machine, with no information paradox.
And what about spacetime? How can it curve the path of light? It must be a physical medium. But then how could we move around in it so easily? Maybe it is a superfluid, frictionless and transparent to infinity.
