I don't want to spend any more money on oil because the money might go to Russia. After doing some checking, I realized an electric car might even be cheaper. I currently spend about $150 a week on gas. Electricity is much cheaper. I will also get a $1 bonus for every ride because of the "Zero Emission Incentive". An electric car will also be more fun to drive.
I don't have any good place to charge it. If charging turns out to be a problem, I can easily exchange it for a gas powered car.
I hope the Russian oligarchs lose a lot of money and turn against this terrible war.

I'm renting it, and can easily return it if I have too many problems.

1. I can rent an electric for only a little more than renting a gas car. Electricity is cheaper than gas. For me, electric might be cheaper overall.
2. Driving range for the car I'm renting is about 60% of the range for a similar gas car.
3. Recharging is a problem.
4. Tesla seems overly complex. That's not a problem limited to just electric cars.
5. If the car catches fire, I can easily return or exchange it. The rental includes free maintenance and insurance.
