It costs only about £30 a day to put asylum seekers in houses whereas it is £150 per day in hotels.
It is costing the country £8M a day at the moment so this could save a shedload of our cash ultimately, statistically, reducing the cost to £1.6M. That assumes of course all the freeloaders being chucked out of hotels which wont happen but the figure gives you an idea of the scale of savings.
But as you say it then totally blocks the rental market for our own people and can turn some areas in ghettos.
The only real answer remains being tough, Turn them round. ignore the EU Court etc etc.
