Re: name calling
My first job in Canada was staffed by New immignts from many countries, including myself, during lunch break we often called each other what today would not be tolerated. For example, Wopp, Crout, Honkie, Pollock, Limey., What do you have for lunch today ? Trading sandwiches or what ever was in the lunch pail. Never ever a malicious thought or taken in the terminology, usual followed by humorous conversation while sharing our meal.
