and the poor INDIGENOUS Aboriginous who are black were treated very very badly,the colour bar was lifted in 1967 l was last there in 2017 to watch the ashes in Sydney sadly nothing had changed very much-yet they allow any one in the country race or creed or colour the poor Aboriginals still to this day have a raw deal l loved the Aussies while living there but l am so disappointed to this day nothing changed so sad.
Ps l knew the only black person l can think of living in Hebburn on the 1940s-50s that is John Kamara he was a huge character around Hebburn Quay he worked in the yards. RIP
