I disagree.
Among my friends are former convicted criminals who served prison time, and others who lived harsh and demeaning lives, who have had their hearts changed by God. They went from being proud, hard hearted persons to strong, sweet and gentle persons who live to serve God, meaning that what they do is good and profitable for righteous living. Because they know how great their sin was, they understand how great their forgiveness is, and they are wonderful examples of what God does when hearts are softened and forgiveness is experienced. Seemingly rational arguments from those who haven’t had that experience, who won’t believe that others have, who generally don’t believe in God, is simply irrelevant in these instances.
