From the first to the 20th centuries there was NO significant Jewish presence in what the Romans called 'Palestine.' And since Arabs dominated the area known as Palestine for much of that time (7th century onward), it's theirs. Modern Zionist Jews seized it with help from Europe. It no more 'belonged to them' than it did to me.
