I disagree...I think they proposed "solutions" that ended up getting us where we are... Archived Message

...and have no solutions other than progressive-ing harder. So maybe we are actually saying the same thing. Previous Message Previous Message 1. During the pandemic progressives fucked with Lowell High School and also removed 8th grade Algebra...which is the "test in" school of choice for working class Asians and Algebra in 8th grade is a key to many university application tracts. 2. Asians were/have been/are feeling targeted specifically for violent crime and feel as if their requests for help have largely fell on deaf ears. 3. People in general are VERY sour on local government and specifically progressive politicians. So, you saw Chesa Boudin get recalled. The school board get recalled. Progressive ballot props get soundly defeated and moderate to center right ballot props succeed as well as the Democratic Central Committee have their seats removed from the progressive block to the moderate block. There has been a rise in moderate money, largely driven by tech, suddenly enter politics over the past 4-5 years. The rise of groups like GrowSF, SFYimby, etc. Basically, from what I can tell, other than a few enclaves in the city, being a "progressive" isn't a winning proposition anymore. Asians and Techies have historically sat out politics and no longer are and they've partnered with moderates, whites and olds. The political savy of the moderate political groups is showing and they're targeting very specific proposals and politicans with a Mt Everest of cash. I'm stoked though...things turned out exactly as I had hoped yesterday.
