Previous Message Specifically, is there someone else who has had greater success in three disparate fields or similar success in four? So think of what used to be called a Renaissance man, someone with broad gifts and success. It seems like there must be some folks out there, but I was struggling to come up with an example. Lots of people who were brilliant in two fields. But Arnold was the best in the world (and arguably the greatest ever) at bodybuilding. He then switched and became one of the two or three biggest stars in Hollywood for a stretch in the 80’s/90’s. And then after that, became Governor of California. So three incredibly competitive and difficult career fields and he had elite level success in all three. Benjamin Franklin was one competitor I thought of, as a scientist, writer/publisher, and a statesman/diplomat. But back in the 1700s the competition wasn’t as fierce, given how small the educated population was. So I think I’d still rank Arnold ahead, although Franklin certainly had a bigger impact on the US and our history. So who am I forgetting or missing?
