In my opinion, we need to take politics completely out of the equation. I would like to see governments completely out of the decision. The markets are very efficient in promoting competition, thereby providing the best pricing for individual consumers without government interference.

The point of the original post was to note how interesting it is to me to see those who support tariffs when Democrats are in power now against them because Trump supports them. And vice versa.

It would appear that Democrat groupthink and Republican groupthink are real things.

I find that fascinating.
