I loved Chicago, but I had a gun pulled on me in an upscale part of Lincoln Park at 8:00 at night once.

Of course I didn’t see all of London in a week, but unlike most US cities I felt safe walking from neighborhood to neighborhood for hours without concern about wondering into an unsafe area. I maybe saw 10 homeless people the entire trip. The underground trains are clean and efficient (unlike Chicago or NY).
