I am amused the South keeps playing victim. They succeeded to protect their right to own slaves, lost the war that they started and played victim ever since. True, originally other states had slavery, all States murdered the natives, most immigrants were mistreated as were most workers. A more realistic view of our history might cure our need to believe how much better than anyone else. Other countries are backing away and we mayyets succeed at reducing ourselves to third world status, much as England managed to do by its pompus bully boy behavior.
