Even the Ranked Vote guide states that ranked choice voting is expensive and delays results.
Most importantly, in my opinion, the two con's that are openly addressed in the guide are: "the person with the most votes can lose" and RCV violates the "one person, one vote".
Further...a comment for Mr. Capone - if neither Adams nor Cuomo drop out - Mamdani is going to dance across the finish line - mainly because few people ever feel confident in casting a vote for an 'independent' (feel it's a waste of vote) and will either cave for the democrat candidate or not vote at all. Either way - that's a win for Mamdani.
I would assert that Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) is a tool to rig...it is complex, with multiple rounds of vote tabulation and it is more susceptible to errors. The integrity of any system rests with its security - and voting system security relies on the type of technology used and how 'auditable' the process is.
