Unless a person (stupidly) buys into infantile guilt-by-association or "collective guilt" fallacies or is just disingenuously using a tragic even for the purpose of partisan vitriol, the political leanings of an assassin matter only to investigators and sociologists.

Moreover, people are complex. As we are beginning to see with Charlie Kirk's murderer, people can simultaneously hold varied (from the socio-political standpoint) views, even somewhat contradictory ones. There is no serious point to be made trying to classify this guys as a "lib" or "MAGA." Anyone doing so is likely not trying to arrive at a better understanding or convey anything useful; they're just trying to score points against their "enemy."
