Yes, I know, as I lived among those that were poor and managed to become citizens and owned there own productive farm here n the USA (this was in the 60's and 70's)....and they would hire the green card Mexican that would come to work on the farms during the summer....and the Mexican families that hired them to work on their farms would not allow their daughters to date the farm laborers.....

Also, I know that there are towns that are in SW Texas you DO NOT want to cross the border to Mexico to visit, or you caught in cross fire and killed..... Some of the Texans that live in the area are upset that the people from Mexico send their children across the border into USA and attend the America schools..... So, I pray that Americans know which, town they might be able to cross the border to visit...

I grew up visiting Tijuana, Mexico many times as a child...and enjoyed doing so...as it was safe and friendly then....but, by the 1960's it was no longer safe...at all...if you went with another couple across the border there was a probability that your wife might be arrested and taken in by the police, if you did not stay with your wives....as, this actually happened to a young couple (teachers) and they charged their wives with "prostitution" and they charged them a pretty penny to get them out of jail.....
