Recently Trump hosted a lunch for some congress people. Instead of inviting everyone in congress and having a friendly discussion/debate over a good meal, he only invited Republicans and used it as a chance to bash the Democrats.
Some of the Democrats admitted to wanting to drag it on longer. House Minority Whip Katherine Clark said "it is one of the few leverage times we have."
