So I would spend about $10.00 on electricity to go 100 miles.
A good similar gas car is the Toyota Camry Hybrid with 53 MPG city and 50 MPG highway. That would be about $9.50 for 100 miles. (With expensive California gas).
My Tesla feel about 40% more fun to drive than a Toyota Camry.
LYFT still gives me a $80 bonus every week for driving an EV.
I almost purchased a Toyota Camry Hybrid, but then California offered me a $9,500 rebate for buying an EV. That's the main reason I got a Tesla.
EVs don't have to pay any road tax. Maybe in the future we will have ANOTHER tax based on miles driven per year. The tax will probably be the same for small economy cars and big SUVs.
