It is a shame we only teach historical myth. That is the case with most school history in nearly every country. Most history is far darker for most of the people. Learning how the ordinary working person had to do to survive is more truthful, instead of focusing on those that benefited from history. The dark side of the history in any country is far more fascinating. All governments are created to protect the wealthy and the powerful. Even in the alleged Communist countries that would be the party leaders.
