I try to throw out a post from time to time in an attempt to foster civil discourse regarding a current topic. Most of the time the responses are either a collection of logical fallacies or an incoherent word salad that has nothing to do with the subject matter.

I don’t live in the blue/red world that many Americans call home. I enjoy challenging people’s viewpoints and usually learn something in the process.

Perhaps some people prefer “being heard” more than they prefer thoughtful civil discourse.
