I learned independent thinking on my own. School was not needed for that. I break out laughing at your foolish claim that I hate America simply because I can understand America as it is rather than needing the phony pretty myth. The same goes for the rest of the world.

I am not interested in pretending that the rich and powerful were saints that they have never been. I am more interested in how the ordinary people survived what the rich and powerful got away with.

The ordinary people are the real people of America. Like the rest of us they are a mix of good and evil, wisdom and foolishness.
