This is clearly one of our founding principles.

History is full of cases in which our Founders themselves failed to live up to their own promises. Some of the Declaration’s authors who wrote that "all men are created equal," themselves owned slaves.

That doesn’t prove that America is evil. It shows that even the Founders failed to live up to their own ambitious ideals, initially. Lincoln led the effort to eliminate slavery, thereby fulfilling the timeless ideal penned by the Founders that all people are created equal and have the inalienable right to be free.

Racism is virtually nonexistent in America today. Oh, sure occasionally racism rears its ugly head. We even have a poster here, Mike Scalise from New Jersey, who uses derogatory terms to describe black Americans. He is quickly called out for it and slithers away in shame for a period hoping people will forget about it.

But we don’t.
